Ta Trecia & Corey’s engagement session….

I had the pleasure photographing Ta Trecia & Corey’s engagement photos this past fall at Franklin Park Conservatory (another favorite place to do pictures). James and I actually flipped a coin that day because we had another session at the same time so I got the engagement session and he got the senior session. Yay, me because I had a blast! I felt like I really connected with Ta Trecia & Corey they are so friendly and incredibly nice. I really wish James & I were available to do their wedding, they are getting married in Arkansas which is Ta Trecia’s hometown. I know that the both of you will look stunning because your engagement photos show off how photogenic the both of you are. Thanks for a day full of fun and laughter, I definitely look forward seeing you both again in the future…..

Engagement Session in Boston, Ma….

First off let us tell everyone how fabulous the both of you are!! James & I spent the afternoon with Lauren & Chris about three weeks ago in Boston– thank you both for a wonderful afternoon! By the time we got back to our hotel we didn’t realize how late it was, we had to much fun that time flew by! We had a great time in Boston and wished that our schedule allowed us to stay an extra day, so we plan on visiting again with our boys in the future so that we can see more of Bostons history & beautiful locations. We are looking forward for your wedding next July! We know that it is going to be a blast=)

Jenn & Zack’s Engagement….

Jenn contacted us a few months ago interested in us doing their engagement session, so we set up a time at Inniswood park. Again like we said before, this is one of our favorite locations to shoot pictures at. We had a great time photographing the both of you.

In memory of and Thank you…..

So, last Saturday at 230am we received a call from the hospital that James’s grandfather had passed it didn’t seem real, until we arrived at the hospital. I was a lost of words….I didn’t know what to say to James– his grandfather was basically his father, he had raised James since he was just a few months old, so to James and everyone else– Norman was James’s father. Grandpa was a hard working man and touched so many people around him. I myself had actually met James’s grandpa before I even new James. He was a custodian for Newark City Schools and actually worked at the school I went to in elementary. I remembered all the kids liked Mr. Walters we always wanted to be his helper at school. Never did I know at that time I was going to marry his grandson in the future. So, that morning we heard the news about grandpa had a wedding later that day and another wedding that sunday and in the mix of everything we were now planning a funeral. We set the funeral to be done on Wed. which was a lot sooner than we wanted but with all of the families schedules this worked out best for everyone. It was a beautiful service and very emotional for everyone, but grandpa was finally laid to rest that afternoon. We will miss you so much, thank you for being a shoulder to lean on when we needed one and making us laugh when we needed to laugh and we will miss that smile you gave us to let us know that everything was going to be all right. We know that one day we will join you and that you are now spoiling our baby boy Isaac.

With that being said we want to Thank everyone for all the emails,cards and flower arrangements sent to us on behalf of our grandfather passing, it really means a lot to us to know how much people care about us and our family. This past week has been rough for us and to know that so many people care means so much to us, our son Isaiah went over to our studio and picked up the mail for us last week and brought back several cards, its kind of funny because he said “geesh there must be a lot of bills this week” …… which is what we always say when there is a lot of mail….but when he handed me the mail they were actually cards from clients and friends of ours sending their condolences. Wow, we were really shocked and emotional all at the same time…..so from our family to yours thank you from the bottom of our hearts we are grateful knowing that so many people care. Again, Thank You everyone for baring with us this past week. This week we will be working hard to catch up on all the calls, emails and sessions.

Mitchell & Jennifer’s Engagement…

I met up with Mitchell & Jennifer up at Dawes Arboretum here in Newark for their Engagement portraits. They were absolutely fun to be around and were up for so many great ideas– like jumping off tree logs, rolling around in the grass and then some….I had a lot of fun and we are looking forward working with you both this weekend for your Wedding day! Megan & Witten’s Engagement Pics

We met Megan & Witten at Inniswood Park for their Engagement photos; this park is one of our most favorite parks to do portraits at. The weather was perfect–and the happy couple was a pleasure to photograph. This was the first time they had ever been to Inniswood and they absolutely loved it! While we were walking around the park, Megan had spotted the tree house that was in the back woods….this was perfect! Witten had actually proposed to Megan in a tree house, how sweet. Below are some of our favorites, the one in the tree house is our absolute favorite;) See you both next year on your wedding day!
