Happy 4th of July…….

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend! It was great that we were blessed with beautiful weather the whole time. James and I spent our holiday weekend with 3 different brides, yep a busy weekend but it was a great time! We did spend a lot of travel time together so it gave us a chance to talk more about the business and everything that we plan on doing the next few months=) We are looking into hiring an extra hand at the studio to help us get caught up on things here and there and we are changing our whole pricing structure. New pricing and packages will take place the top of August. Even though it was a busy weekend it did give us some time to talk business! We plan on blogging more and doing more on our facebook so stay tuned for the new changes coming soon….

Thanks to mother nature giving us about 5 inches of snow Thursday, finally gave me the opportunity to sit and get caught up on blogging and updating our site some. It’s really hard to change things up, so the last 2 days of blogging and updating I realize why I don’t change things much….. one it takes forever…. two its hard to pick and choose what we want to add and what we want to keep and most of all James and I agreeing on colors, styles and music…. I didn’t think it was going to come to all of this =P…. So finally we came to somewhat of an agreement and the site is updated some and the blogging has more posts. Hope all of you enjoy the posts and and the updated site, we know its not every single session we do but it gives everyone an idea on what goes on in our world=) Enjoy!

We wanted to let everyone know that James and I are back from Vegas. This past month has been extremely busy and we are happy to see November arrive, we have so much to blog about along with some new updates…we apologize for any delay in response with getting back with everyone due to us being out of town, we will be working hard the next few weeks on getting all the sessions caught up along with the emails and phone calls.

Holiday Sessions– We are now taking appointments for holiday sessions, please keep in mind that our sessions are limited so if interested feel free to contact us. Last day for sessions will be Dec. 13.

Where has the summer gone?

Yes, we know it has been a month since we have posted and we truly apologize. The last few months have been extremely busy, we have been swamped with senior sessions, now family fall portraits along with the wedding season….plus the boys are both playing sports , our oldest son Isaiah plays football and our youngest son Jakai plays soccer, geesh just taking them back and forth alone is a chore in itself… lol….even though our schedule is really hectic at times we make sure that we are apart of our boys lives growing up=)

The summer has definitely came and gone so quickly! It just seemed like yesterday that summer was just starting and now we are already into fall. The next few days we plan on sharing our adventures from the last few months, this will give everyone a taste of whats been going on in our world lately….we have managed to work really hard the last two weeks to get caught up so that we could keep everyone posted on our recent work–below are a few photos of the boys playing their sports…..enjoy!

In memory of and Thank you…..

So, last Saturday at 230am we received a call from the hospital that James’s grandfather had passed it didn’t seem real, until we arrived at the hospital. I was a lost of words….I didn’t know what to say to James– his grandfather was basically his father, he had raised James since he was just a few months old, so to James and everyone else– Norman was James’s father. Grandpa was a hard working man and touched so many people around him. I myself had actually met James’s grandpa before I even new James. He was a custodian for Newark City Schools and actually worked at the school I went to in elementary. I remembered all the kids liked Mr. Walters we always wanted to be his helper at school. Never did I know at that time I was going to marry his grandson in the future. So, that morning we heard the news about grandpa had a wedding later that day and another wedding that sunday and in the mix of everything we were now planning a funeral. We set the funeral to be done on Wed. which was a lot sooner than we wanted but with all of the families schedules this worked out best for everyone. It was a beautiful service and very emotional for everyone, but grandpa was finally laid to rest that afternoon. We will miss you so much, thank you for being a shoulder to lean on when we needed one and making us laugh when we needed to laugh and we will miss that smile you gave us to let us know that everything was going to be all right. We know that one day we will join you and that you are now spoiling our baby boy Isaac.

With that being said we want to Thank everyone for all the emails,cards and flower arrangements sent to us on behalf of our grandfather passing, it really means a lot to us to know how much people care about us and our family. This past week has been rough for us and to know that so many people care means so much to us, our son Isaiah went over to our studio and picked up the mail for us last week and brought back several cards, its kind of funny because he said “geesh there must be a lot of bills this week” …… which is what we always say when there is a lot of mail….but when he handed me the mail they were actually cards from clients and friends of ours sending their condolences. Wow, we were really shocked and emotional all at the same time…..so from our family to yours thank you from the bottom of our hearts we are grateful knowing that so many people care. Again, Thank You everyone for baring with us this past week. This week we will be working hard to catch up on all the calls, emails and sessions.

Yay! New Blog!!

Yes, I know it has been awhile since we have posted anything, we have been really busy trying to catch up with everything since our trip from Va, Beach and Washington DC. We have been working on this new blog for months now and last night I finally was able to sit down and work on it to finally get it published and up and running. We will try our best to keep this updated more, so that all of you are able to see our recent work and what is going on in our lives =) Hope you like the new look and please feel free to leave any comments on any of our posts. Below is a pic of our boys on the beach walking, this brought me to tears…. I can’t believe how fast they are growing up. Keep posted– we will post some photos from our trip and from the Wedding we photographed while we were in Va. Beach as well. Enjoy….
