This is the first time that we have had two weddings in one day, we had a early morning wedding and an evening wedding. For some reason it seemed like Oct 24th was a very popular date but we were booked for this date for over a year, so every time an inquiry came in we sent a response back we were already booked.
So let me tell you how this came about, James and I do at least 1-2 bridal shows a year and we did a show in August at the Shrine, well we had a couple come up and was talking with us for a bit, when they realized James and I were husband and wife and photograph weddings together they just loved that idea, they were ready to book us right there at the show but after talking more we had realized we were already booked. So they were disappointed, I feel bad when someone really wants our services and we have to tell them we are already booked. So the next day I get a voicemail from the couple wanting to know what time our wedding was that day and was willing to move their wedding time up so that we could still photograph their wedding . I couldn’t believe that they were willing to do this just for us to photograph their wedding, so after making arrangements and making sure that it was able to be pulled off we finally made it work, with the help of our assistant photographers it worked out just fine!
Morning wedding– Diana & Larry were married in Columbus at the church and then the reception followed at the Lincoln theater. The ceremony was beautiful, the couple had allot of things planned, they had flag dancers at the beginning, a few soloists then they both sang to each other. We loved it! The reception was real simple with heavy horderves being served and guests mingling and enjoying themselves. Thank you both for having us=)
Evening Wedding: Amanda & Greg were married at Tartan East Golf Course in New Albany, Oh. Both the ceremony and reception was located at the same place. It rained some but ended up stopping some so that we could get a few pictures outdoors. Another lovely wedding, with beautiful wedding gowns and colors! we wish both couples a beautiful life together may it be filled with all the joy and love…..

Stephanie & Nathan were married Oct 17 at the Oakhurst Golf Course. Both their ceremony & reception was there. They had many guests and family there to share their day! It was a little cool that day but the sun came out just enough to give a little bit of warmth. It was a wonderful time, they had a huge cupcake tower and some really cute ideas…our favorite was the cards for the table….they were little cards made of chairs and everyone had to find their # for their table and take a seat, lol we got such a laugh out of that! We knew that this wedding was going to be full of fun and it was just that! Congrats to the both of you, we really enjoyed having the opportunity to share your day with the both of you!

Jakia & Elango’s wedding was Oct 16 at the Columbus Athletic Club in Columbus, Oh. After James did their engagement session he told me that their wedding was going to be full of laughter and smiles and was he right! These two were so fun and their family and friends made us feel so welcomed. We wish you both the best in the years to come=)

Our goal is to have a separate blog for just our seniors in the future but for now we will share some seniors that we have photographed in the last few months…we will add more seniors once we wrap up the last of our 2010 seniors still scheduled with us….Enjoy=)

I had the pleasure photographing Ta Trecia & Corey’s engagement photos this past fall at Franklin Park Conservatory (another favorite place to do pictures). James and I actually flipped a coin that day because we had another session at the same time so I got the engagement session and he got the senior session. Yay, me because I had a blast! I felt like I really connected with Ta Trecia & Corey they are so friendly and incredibly nice. I really wish James & I were available to do their wedding, they are getting married in Arkansas which is Ta Trecia’s hometown. I know that the both of you will look stunning because your engagement photos show off how photogenic the both of you are. Thanks for a day full of fun and laughter, I definitely look forward seeing you both again in the future…..

Bobbie & Ben were married Oct 10 in Somerset, Oh at the Somerset United Methodist church then their reception followed at Barn at the Backwoods in Thornville, Oh. Bobbie and Ben were so nice and friendly and everything at their wedding was DIY projects. I love seeing so many different ideas at every wedding we go to. We can be at the same place several times, but it doesn’t matter because it looks different each time. We applaud you both for tying every detail together. Congrats to the both of you!

James & I were excited to do Jennifer & Michael’s wedding, we feel like we are part of their family. We photographed Jennifer’s sisters wedding back in Dec 07 and then her brothers wedding back in March of 08. So, we are very familiar with all of their family and friends. The lovely couple was married in Jacksontown, Oh at the United Methodist Church and their reception was located in Newark, Oh at the FOP hall. These two had me in tears at the ceremony, I am a sucker when both the bride and groom cry….honestly I don’t think there was a dry eye in that church. Congrats to the both of you! We wish you both and your beautiful daughter all the best in the years to come!!

The lovely couple was married September 26 in Bexley, Oh at Christ Lutheran Church then their reception followed in Worthington, Oh at J Liu Restaurant. James and I have been looking forward to doing Courtney and Randy’s wedding, after we did their engagement session we knew that their wedding was going to be even better. These two are one of the nicest couples we have ever meet, they are truly meant for each other, 50 years from now I can see them looking at each other and still give each other that same look that they did for each other on their wedding day. It was a great time and we thank you both for having us! Enjoy…….

Amanda & Jason’s ceremony & reception was held at the Cheers Chalet in Lancaster, Oh. They were married September 25. It turned out to be a beautiful day, we were worried because the forecast had said it was suppose to rain all day but it cleared all up that morning and you would never know that it had even rained earlier. We had met Amanda a couple months before at her uncles wedding that we photographed. She asked for a card because they did not have a photographer yet, so I just happen to have one on me….I know we are bad about not having business cards on us, so our goal this year is to make sure we have them on us all the time . So we got an email the next day and next thing we knew we were meeting for a consult….thanks Christine & Jeff for the referral =)
Amanda & Jason’s wedding was awesome and the couple was a blast to work with. May your life together be filled with all the love and romance in your new beginning together as one!

Courtney & Ross were married September 19th at the events Center in Newark, Oh. It was such a great time! Ross is so funny he had us laughing the whole time, we felt like we have known the couple for years. It is nice having a wedding locally, we usually are traveling everywhere else. It seems like every time we have a wedding locally we at least know someone at the wedding but this time we knew half of the guests that were there.
Long story short but Courtney used to hang out at the skating rink and as most people know that James skated down there on the speed team and won Nationals for the speed team. So most of the guests that were there were from the rink….so it was a reunion for James pretty much. Thanks Courtney and Ross we had a great time– our day was filled with laughter and beautiful pictures. Congrats to the both of you!
