Welcome

Thank You for taking the time to look at our Blog! This is where we will post our updated work and a peek of our personal lives with our boys. We are truly blessed to be where we are today, when just a little over 4 years ago we had no idea that pursuing our passion for photography would be where it is today. Thank you everyone! We hope that this blog will help keep you all updated. Please feel free to comment on any of our posts, we love to hear what other people have to say.=)

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas….

This past month has really been a roller coaster ride for us and we are working really hard on bringing in the new year with a happy beginning. This year for Christmas we really cherished our time with our family, it was the only thing I wanted for Christmas and it was the best Christmas ever=) Of course the boys got everything they asked for. It is such a joy to see their faces in the mornings and how excited they get with each gift they opened. We are wishing everyone a very blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

From our family to yours,

We are back….

Yes, I know we are soooo behind on blogging! Last week I felt bad, I had a client that came in for a session and said ” I was just on your blog and noticed you have not been on for a few months….so our goal is to update our blog more frequently and believe me it is on our new year’s resolution list. Just to bring all of our readers up to speed on whats been going on in our world….as most of you know that I have family from all over the world and my aunty is coming to visit from New Zealand next month so it was time to get the rest of our house remodeled. We have been remodeling our home the past year., so once we got the call she was coming I had to put the whip on getting things done. Thankfully I am blessed to have a husband that is a jack of all trades.

So the last 2 weeks we have been staying in a hotel and my mothers home while our home was being remodeled. Just this past Monday we were able to move back in. We still have some painting to do here and there but we finally have a home again. We will post some before and after pictures later.

While remodeling and taking pictures and watching the boys play sports, has given us little time to blog. From time to time we have been able to Facebook some sessions but thats about it. With that being said more posts to come on a more regular basis. Plus we want to give a big shout out to our new help Tonya for being able to help get us caught up on blogging and facebook.

Back to school…..

This year was special to us, another milestone in both of our boys lives. While taking Isaiah to school it hit me that my little man is now turning into a young man, he was starting his first year of high school. Its amazing to think back when he was little, I remember holding his hand until we entered the school and he would either kiss me on the cheek or blow me a kiss. Then he would smile at me with his missing tooth in the front and say mom I love you!  see ya later!  So when we dropped him off at school  today he jumped out the car looked over his shoulder and waved goodbye and was off with his friends. I was in disbelief! no kisses and no i love yous! and he wouldn’t stand long enough for us to get his picture.  Of course James says Heidi he is growing up,  look at him he is as tall as me and is starting to grow a mustache besides do you want to embarrass him in front of his friends. So then I realized that James was right,  my little man is becoming a young man :( ………well no matter what he is is still my little man.

Now we are headed to drop Jakai off at school, this is his first day of Kindergarten. We are really excited for him because he has asked everyday for the last week if school starts that day, so today we were able to tell him yes. Now, we are at the school and of course we are taking pictures of Jakai in front of the school. Once again as we walk into the school together hand in hand as we enter the lunch room where all the kids are suppose to go to in the mornings we head over to find the line where Jakai is suppose to sit. So I take him to the line and this time I have a curly top little man with a missing tooth at the bottom smiling at me and leans in giving me a kiss on my cheek and saying mom I love you. Can you believe it– I lost it  (deja vu all over again)! so I hurried up out of the lunch room so Jakai wouldn’t see me bawl my eyes out then I knew my boys were getting big,  time is flying by way to fast!  Take every moment  and cherish every minute of it because they grow up to fast…..

The Price girls…..

When we receieved a call from the girls mother that she would love for us to photgraph the twins, I was so stinkin excited! As most of you know that James and I only have boys so anytime we have little girls in the studio, I kind of go over board with the dressing up and lots of pinks and purples lol.  This time I had double the fun! Like most twins we have one that sleeps and the other awake or one that is hungry and the other needs changed. Believe me I miss those days, so it brings a smile to my face to see it all over again. We are looking forward for more sessions in the future with the girls. Enjoy they are such dolls!

Ellie & Cory’s Wedding…..

Ellie & Cory were married back in June at St. Vincent De Paul’s  in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and their reception was held at Jessica Roesler Commons in Gambier, Oh. James and I were excited when Ellie called us to do her wedding! Ellie was a bridesmaid in her sisters wedding that we photographed last year and now Natalie was a bridesmaid in their wedding. The wedding was beautiful– wedding colors were red and black and the bride looked absolutely stunning in her dress. The weather was perfect, and everyone had a great time. Thank you both for having us witness your beautiful day, we enjoyed your family and friends and we definitely would love to be able to stay in touch with you both through out the years to come. Best wishes to the both of you and may your love for each other keep growing=)……

Alicia & Caleb’s Wedding…….

The lovely couple was married the end of May at the Cherry Valley Lodge here in Newark, Oh. Both ceremony & reception were held there. This was a fairly early wedding and we were done by 4p. It’s not very often that we see daylight after photographing a wedding lol. It was a beautiful day and a hot one to! We loved seeing how much love Alicia & Caleb had for each other and how much they were into their faith.  I loved their wedding colors so bright and festive and Alicia’s shoes were so cute! May your love for each other grow more and more each day=) Congrats to the both of you!

Happy 4th of July…….

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend! It was  great that we were blessed with beautiful weather the whole time. James and I spent our holiday weekend with 3 different brides, yep a busy weekend but it was a great time! We did spend a lot of travel time together so it gave us a chance to talk more about the business and everything that we plan on doing the next few months=) We are looking into hiring an extra hand at the studio to help us get caught up on things here and there and we are changing our whole pricing structure. New pricing and packages will take place the top of August. Even though it was a busy weekend it did give us some time to talk business!  We plan on blogging more and doing more on our facebook so stay tuned for the new changes coming soon….

Baby E’s portrait Session…..

Baby E has been with us since she was a newborn, so it was nice to see her again 3 months later. The last time she was in she was a little Diva wanting to do her own thing and this time she was really showing the camera up! That’s why we named her our little diva lol. Can’t wait to see Miss E in a few months, we have some special things in store for when you come back! Enjoy…..

Baby G’s Session…….

Rebekah came in the studio to get her maternity portraits done and at that time she told us that she was due any day, yep! she was right- she had baby G a few days after her session with us. Baby G was just a week old in these photos and can you believe he was 9lbs 7ounces. We told her that she had a football player! Baby G slept pretty much the whole time but he did manage to open his eyes so that we could get a few quick shots with his eyes open. Congrats to you both on your new addition to you family he is absolutely precious=)
