Darcy & Justin were married Nov 28 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sommerset, Oh and their reception followed at Holly Trinity School. It was another beautiful November day, so we were able to get some photos outdoors as well. Such a sweet couple, they were so laid back and easy to work with…Darcy glowed the whole day, once she walked down the aisle and Justin got the first look of her he was smiling from ear to ear. Everything ran smoothly and by the end of the evening that glow was still there and Justin was still smiling from ear to ear. We thank you and your families for being so nice and inviting to the both of us, we know your glow will continue to stay with you both for eternity…..

Jeanette & Jonathan were married at First Lutheran Church in Springfield, Oh and their reception followed at the Springfield County Club. James & Nicole had the pleasure photographing their wedding. The both of you were so easy to work with, James said everything looked beautiful especially since the couple were both planning their wedding out of state. We cant believe how everything comes together especially when couples plan from out of state. James said it was a terrific day and he thanks you both for having him and Nicole be a part of your new beginning as husband and wife….Cheers to both of you!

We absolutely love this family! Thank you Canterbury’s for introducing them to us=) We had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer & Mitch’s wedding back in July since then we really got to know Jenn’s mom Linda. Linda had emailed us and was interested in getting her and husband’s 25th anniversary photo done, so we set up a date and time….well lets say we ended up doing a Spearman Family Portrait. To me this is the best anniversary gift anyone could ask for– to have a photo of your whole family and to know that it all started with just the two of them……We wish you both many more years together and we applaud you both on your 25 years together.

Kerry and Joe were married Nov 14 at St. John Newman’s Catholic Church in Sunbury, Oh and their reception was held at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Columbus,Oh. I shot this wedding with a co-photographer friend Brittany while James was doing another wedding in Springfield with Nicole. The weather was perfect– we couldn’t ask for a better day especially for the middle of November. We stopped at Inniswood park on the way to the reception….our photos were limited due to park rules I didn’t know that we were not aloud to go around and take photos all over the park, this is one of our favorite places to take pictures and we are always doing engagement, family and senior sessions there and never had any problems but for some reason weddings are not aloud to go all around the park for photos….so Brittany and I got yelled at lol I felt like a kid again getting in trouble for a honest mistake of not knowing the rules . Note to couples ” No wedding photos around the park”….Kerry & Joe thought it was funny so the joke for the day was no pictures in the park lol….the day was still filled with with a lot of laughs and the reception was one big party! Congrats to the both of you=)

Natalie & John had a small ceremony in Newark, Oh on Oct 24 for just family, then rocked the rest of their wedding in Vegas the next few days! After already doing 6 weddings in October we were ready to go to Vegas the next few days. James and I have been married for 9 years and together for 15 years and this is the first time we have spent time together away from the boys this long…. at first we were going to take them but my parents said that Vegas was not a place for kids especially since we have a teenage son. Well nobody had to twist our arms on that one lol. It was nice to sleep in and not have a little one waking you up yelling the sun is shinning its time to get up (mind you 630a every morning) ……so we arrived Sunday afternoon and spent the rest of the day with Natalie & John, we had a great day of taking pictures then later that evening we met up with the couple for dinner. It was nice to unwind and sit and reminisce about everything….the both of you were such fun! Thank you both for such a great time we wish you all the love and happiness in the years to come…..

This is the first time that we have had two weddings in one day, we had a early morning wedding and an evening wedding. For some reason it seemed like Oct 24th was a very popular date but we were booked for this date for over a year, so every time an inquiry came in we sent a response back we were already booked.
So let me tell you how this came about, James and I do at least 1-2 bridal shows a year and we did a show in August at the Shrine, well we had a couple come up and was talking with us for a bit, when they realized James and I were husband and wife and photograph weddings together they just loved that idea, they were ready to book us right there at the show but after talking more we had realized we were already booked. So they were disappointed, I feel bad when someone really wants our services and we have to tell them we are already booked. So the next day I get a voicemail from the couple wanting to know what time our wedding was that day and was willing to move their wedding time up so that we could still photograph their wedding . I couldn’t believe that they were willing to do this just for us to photograph their wedding, so after making arrangements and making sure that it was able to be pulled off we finally made it work, with the help of our assistant photographers it worked out just fine!
Morning wedding– Diana & Larry were married in Columbus at the church and then the reception followed at the Lincoln theater. The ceremony was beautiful, the couple had allot of things planned, they had flag dancers at the beginning, a few soloists then they both sang to each other. We loved it! The reception was real simple with heavy horderves being served and guests mingling and enjoying themselves. Thank you both for having us=)
Evening Wedding: Amanda & Greg were married at Tartan East Golf Course in New Albany, Oh. Both the ceremony and reception was located at the same place. It rained some but ended up stopping some so that we could get a few pictures outdoors. Another lovely wedding, with beautiful wedding gowns and colors! we wish both couples a beautiful life together may it be filled with all the joy and love…..

Stephanie & Nathan were married Oct 17 at the Oakhurst Golf Course. Both their ceremony & reception was there. They had many guests and family there to share their day! It was a little cool that day but the sun came out just enough to give a little bit of warmth. It was a wonderful time, they had a huge cupcake tower and some really cute ideas…our favorite was the cards for the table….they were little cards made of chairs and everyone had to find their # for their table and take a seat, lol we got such a laugh out of that! We knew that this wedding was going to be full of fun and it was just that! Congrats to the both of you, we really enjoyed having the opportunity to share your day with the both of you!

Jakia & Elango’s wedding was Oct 16 at the Columbus Athletic Club in Columbus, Oh. After James did their engagement session he told me that their wedding was going to be full of laughter and smiles and was he right! These two were so fun and their family and friends made us feel so welcomed. We wish you both the best in the years to come=)

Our goal is to have a separate blog for just our seniors in the future but for now we will share some seniors that we have photographed in the last few months…we will add more seniors once we wrap up the last of our 2010 seniors still scheduled with us….Enjoy=)

I had the pleasure photographing Ta Trecia & Corey’s engagement photos this past fall at Franklin Park Conservatory (another favorite place to do pictures). James and I actually flipped a coin that day because we had another session at the same time so I got the engagement session and he got the senior session. Yay, me because I had a blast! I felt like I really connected with Ta Trecia & Corey they are so friendly and incredibly nice. I really wish James & I were available to do their wedding, they are getting married in Arkansas which is Ta Trecia’s hometown. I know that the both of you will look stunning because your engagement photos show off how photogenic the both of you are. Thanks for a day full of fun and laughter, I definitely look forward seeing you both again in the future…..
